Rob Moore just published an article about “Leadership and Accountability” which I urge you to read. In his article, he states,

Accountability and responsibility are two sides of the same coin. We should do the right thing in all circumstances irrespective of whether or not someone is watching….

He also states that when we are tempted to take temporary short-cuts, we will sacrifice the long term good because “it undermines trust.” I couldn’t agree more! Another of my favorite terms is “integrity” and it refers to the same concept. Integrity is doing what is right – because it is right – not because of the desirable or undesirable results – either in the short term or the long term.

What is the difference?

What do you have.. authority or responsibility? Or, both? In the next couple of articles, I will be reviewing what the Bible has to say about responsibility, accountability and integrity. Stay tuned… The next article should be posted on Tuesday (22st).
