I trust that the articles included here are interesting enough that you will just want to read everything! However, if your time is limited and you are looking for something in particular, here are some suggestions: HOME: First, regardless of where you are on the site, you can click on the “Home” tab (on the left side of the top menu) which will reload the MAIN page. At this page, you will see the latest posting at the top and other posts will be presented in reverse time sequence (the newest posts are first). Note: When using the search, categories, tags or authors, you will see a list of “teasers” that have a short paragraph but little more. In order to view the entire article, just click on the TITLE of that paragraph. SEARCH: If you are looking for articles on a particular topic here on the Chief Shepherd, the best thing probably is to use the SEARCH function in the header. Just type a significant word and press enter. CATEGORIES: If you have a particular article in mind, you could use the search or, try the CATEGORIES drop downs (menu line just below the big header). Select the category or sub-category that is appropriate (e.g., to find articles on using computers in ministry, select the TECHNOLOGY category.) When you click on a category, you will see a list of articles which are published in that category. (Some articles are published in several categories to help in finding them later.) TAGS: Another way to find things is with the TAGS. Tags are like mini-categories. An article might include a dozen or more tags that relate to the topic included. So, if you click on a tag anywhere, you will be shown a list of the articles with that tag. In the lower right-hand column, a “tag cloud” is displayed which shows the most common tags used here. The larger the print for a tag, the more articles are “tagged” with that phrase/word. Again, when you click on a tag, the articles which are so tagged will be displayed in the main column. AUTHORS: You can click on an author’s name and see all of the other posts by that author. |
