The bar across the bottom is the Google Friend Connect bar. It is provided by the GFC plugin to WP. Glad you like the site. It has been REALLY difficult to convert everything but I think it is done now. I also rebuilt my http://raywaldo.com site. Let me know if I can help you enable something on your site.

Great Review! Just the kind of feedback I am looking for. I have waffled between more simple tabs and the ones that I have now. Actually one set of menus is my PAGE structure while the other set is the CATEGORY structure. I also have a SERIES structure that ties articles together as a group.
As to the color being a bit plain. I guess MY age is showing (grin). Actually, I tried a BOLD color set but the theme did not function as well as this one. This theme is patterned after MS Vista (SOOO “last year”!). Oh well, I cannot have everything!

To answer your questions I'm going to number them and let you know what I think.

.01 I like/dislike the colors & balance on the site

.02 I like/dislike the functions of the site
> The way your site functions is amazing. Great content and resources. Again, my thought is an
audience issue; Some audiences may prefer a more general approach to the tabs. In other words
some tabs could be combined as to not overwhelm the user. But the other side of that coin is that
others prefer the detailed tabs. I prefer the simple approach. All of your content is just organized
into broader headings (tabs). However, since I don't know your audience, only you can answer this
question.

.03 I find the site easy/difficult to use

.04 Now, I cannot __________________

.05 I liked the old site better/worse

Thanks for dropping by Kiesha! You are correct about being honest. Unfortunately, the common statement, “No good deed goes unpunished” is too common. Not everyone appreciates real honesty even though it is what will serve us best.
