Life is a strain

datePosted on 10:16, January 27th, 2008 by Ray

I am continuing my series of messages on the concept that God has a plan. Since God has a plan, I believe He expects US to have one also. And our plan must merge with His plan if we will be successful.

This morning, I will be ministering on the thought, Life is a strain. The text is Philippians 4:1 & 3:13.

Paul tells us that we should stand firm in the Lord. Before someone could ask the obvious question, he answered it, “THAT is how you should stand firm in the Lord, dear friends.” The “that” refers back to what he had just told them in chapter 3.

From the content of chapter 3, I see 3 issues involved in standing firm:

  • Rejoice in Christ
  • Forget the world
  • Strain for the goal
