2008 Election

In America, pastors are concerned that, if they appear to endorse a political candidate, their churches may loose their tax-exempt status with the government. Gordon MacDonald has posted a great article about choosing WHICH issues we should get involved in. I certainly would not demean these concerns. I highly recommend that we consider these issues and endorse them.

However, in Kenya, the implications of being on the “wrong” side of the election are much more severe!

In the week since the presidential election in Kenya, churches have been burned, congregations murdered, & several hundred thousand forced from their homes due entirely to the result of the election.
